Is blocking light from a neighbor harmful?
Blocking light from a neighbor is considered serious harm, so it is not permissible for anyone to construct a building that blocks the windows of his neighbor’s house so that it prevents light from him. Otherwise, it is permissible for the neighbor to request that the building be removed in order to ward off the harm.
This is in accordance with Article 1139 of the Civil Transactions Law of the United Arab Emirates
Is it permissible for a partner to withhold any of the company’s money for himself?
No A partner may withhold for himself some of the company’s money, and if he does so, he is liable for any harm caused to it as a result of this detention, in accordance with Article 670 of the Civil Transactions Law of the United Arab Emirates
